Andreas,
As always, thank you for your point of view...I do go into every interview with an open mind and the wonder of a child. I do find these theories and thoughts amazing...so, I must admit, you will continue to hear me be amazed by all these different viewpoints and thoughts. If something does not resonate with me, I will surely take a stand and ask more probing questions...
I hope you enjoy the show regardless and the variety of topics I will continue to be forth.

„Imagine there's no heaven. It's easy if you try. No hell below us, above us only sky.“
(John Lennon „Imagine“)

You know I couldn't leave this without commenting on it, right, Steve?

„Why can't we just imagine, with John Lennon, a world with no religion? Imagine no suicide bombers, no 9/11, no 7/7, no Crusades, no witch-hunts, no Gunpoder Plot, no Indian partition, no Israeli/Palestinian wars, no Serb/Croat/Muslim massacres, no persecution of Jews as „Christ-killers“, no Nothern Ireland „troubles“, no „honour killings“, no shiny-suited bouffant-haired televangelists fleecing gullible people of their money (God wants you to give till it hurts). Imagine no Taliban to blow up ancient statues (of innocent civilians), no public beheadings of blasphemers, no flogging of female skin for the crime of showing an inch of it.“
(Richard Dawkins „The God Delusion“)

And now we have these „I-hear-God's-voice-in-my-mind“ kind of people even here on rawveganradio. See I really can accept that in america the raw lifestile is always so awesome and amazing, everything's so great, incredible, phantastic, and simply so „wow“. If it helps to motivate people to stick to this diet then it's fine with me. But unfortunately Steve you seem to give everyone a plattform on your show, no matter what bull$/&% that person is saying and you still don't question anything that is beeing said on the show. I really wonder when the first creationist-rawfood-wannabe will be on the show, to tell us, that the world is only 20.000 years old and evolution is a big lie given by god to test our faith. (and you answering: „Amazing“ ;-)
But let's go in medias res.

So here we have a person claiming that „voices“ are talking to her. Alright. And these voices are angels such as Abraham, and other spirits, and even god himself. 6 billion people on this planet and god found the time to talk exclusively to her. And she is treated with the highest respect, as an amazing and outstanding person.
But we are not five year old children anymore who believe everything that's beeing fed to us, so where is the proof? (personally Steve, I think your guest is totally overrated, has nothing to say on the rawfood matter and gets an undeserved respect)

Whenever I hear people claiming that god is talking to them my alarm bells are ringing and my inner „voice“ is yelling, and yours should be, too. Be alert listeners!!!
Funny, George W. Bush said that god told him to invade Iraq, with more than 500.000 people dead by now. What a funny coincidence. (And people like him had the finger on the button for the last 25 years. „Tell me when Lord, tell me when!“)
Now seriously Steve use your head, I thought the raw lifestile finally frees us from any religious dogmas and self proclaimed messiahs. We don't need fundamentalist christians on the show because we have the laws of nature on our side.

I have a question to your guest, maybe she likes to answer it. Here it is.
Isn't it also a funny coincidence, that you life in a christian country and you are in contact with christian beeings? I mean why didn't Zeus talk to you? Didn't he have anything to say on this matter? Or the Viking-God Wotan, Apollo, Amon, Ra, Mithras, Baal, or Thor? Or Krishna? There are about 350.000.000 hindus living today. Why did Abraham show up and not Shiva or Hanuman? My point is: can you imagine a buddhist monk in a small village in Tibet who has never heard anything about Jesus or Christianity and who is meditating and finally says something like: „Oh, Abraham just talked to me, and he wants me to write a book“. Never! Never, ever!!

So I think you're lying. (or to be more polite: I think it's all in your mind.) You're brought up in a christian tradition so you hear christian spirits talk to you. It is a nice fairy-tale that these „spirits“ told you to write a book. That's a nice story that probably helps you to sell more copies, but I'm not buying it (that story or the book).

And one word about that so called „miracle“ you experienced.
You said you had a serious illness and it disappeared when you started praying and started hearing these „voices“, right?
See this has nothing to do with a miracle. It simply proofes how powerful our minds are.
There are thousands of documented cases of spontanious healing and the placebo-effect is now accepted in science, too. So this is no miracle at all. If anything it's the power of the mind. No spirits involved.

Now your listeners should start thinking for themselfs. If a person says: „I hear voices“ what do we call that person? Right, we call him a lunatic. But if that same person says: „I hear god's voice“ we say: „Oh, that changes everything, here have a seat and tell me what god is saying.“

So for everyone who doesn't know what to think on this topic I recommend reading the following books:

-Richard Dawkins „The God Delusion“
-Sam Harris „The End of Faith: Religion, Terror, and the Future of Reason“
-Jiddu Krishnamurti „Freedom from the Known“

Greetings from a deep religious non-believer.
Andreas, from Germany.
